Food Safety Manager Certification
Completion of the Manager Certification program meets Tulsa City-County Health Department requirements.
Certification Class
Individuals who wish to certify for the Food Safety Manager Certification for
the first time, want a review of the information or certification has expired
should take the one-day certification course. The National Registry of Food Safety
Professionals exam is ANSI-CFP accredited and valid for three years. Upon
receipt of your completed registration form and payment, FSTS will send you the
new workbook and pre-test. After you have completed the pre-test, you will
attend the review course and take the 80 question multiple-choice exam at the
appropriate course site. You must make a 75% or greater to pass this test.
Re-certification / Challenge Test
Managers with a strong food safety background or those recertifying may prefer
to take a Challenge Test. Tests are given beginning at 3:00 p.m. on scheduled
test dates.
If you have a current Managers Certification, according to health department
regulations, you must renew it every three years. Check your certificate from
your local health department for the expiration date. If it expires soon, you
will need to reserve your space in the next available re-certification class.
Classes are held at the OSU Extension Center, 4116 E. 15th Street Tulsa,
Oklahoma
(Gate 6 of the fairgrounds).
One Day Certification
Finding time is always the challenge in the food service industry, so we have
designed a compact one day course. This one day certification course is
available on selected Thursdays and Saturdays .We have packed it with important
information and an exam that earns you industry-acknowledged national
certification. The certification courses are held from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Lunch break is 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. The last two hours of the class is dedicated
to taking the necessary exam. You must make 75% or greater to pass the test.
Completed exams will be sent immediately to the NRFSR for grading. Participants
are notified of passage and receive their certificates by mail.

How To Register

the workbook and pre-test so you may study prior to the session. Our Food Safety
Manger Certification class is compact and fast moving. You will want to take the
opportunity for home study to help pass the test. Also, space is limited in each
class and courses have been filling quickly. We recommend that you register at
least two weeks prior to attending to allow time for shipping and study.
Languages Available
Although the class is taught in English, the textbook is available in Spanish.
The test is available in English, Spanish, Korean, Modern Chinese, Traditional
Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese and Arabic. Call us
at least one month in advance to be sure we have the test in stock for the
language you need.
In-House Seminars
Your organization may be better served with an in-house seminar. With a group of
12-15 people, an in-house seminar could make it cost effective for you. Call
